Mental Health Support Worker needed in Canterbury or Ashford areas!

Great temporary opportunity to start as soon as possible until 31st March 2024.



Working with our established client, you will be working as part of a passionate charity located in Central Canterbury. You will have the flexibility to choose to work out of Canterbury or Ashford but will have service users in both locations. You will be working closely with service users, accessing support through the charity whose mental health is affected by social issues such as low income, housing risk and social isolation.

The successful candidate will be supporting people to manage their mental health and well being, identify and assess risk and safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate reports, offer 1-to-1 support and create personalised support plans for service users.

Previous experience supporting vulnerable people in the community is essential. Ideally you will have a Level 3 qualification in either mental health, housing, welfare advice, social work, health care or equivalent. You must have good interpersonal skills, ability to use your own initiative and confidence to organise your workload efficiently.



It is essential that you hold a full driving licence and has access to your own transport.



This is a 37.5 hour working week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 position and paying £12.19 per hour.

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
