Assistant Accountant | Tunbridge Wells –Office Based | £30k - £40k DOE
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant job based in Tunbridge Wells. This Assistant Accountant job is a maternity cover for 9 to 12 months and ideally looking for someone to start by the end of April. This role is fully office based, Monday to Friday working 8am till 5pm.
As Assistant Accountant you will be a good all-rounder who is hands on and will provide day-to-day support to the finance team in a variety of tasks. These tasks include:-
• Taking client accounts through to Trial Balance and then basic Management Accounts
• Downloading bank statements & logging income and expenditure
• Internal quarterly accounts
• Post journal entries
• Reconcile the bank account daily
• Complete VAT returns
• Assist with companies invoicing and general accounting duties
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
• Experience with management accounting for multiple clients or internal profit centres, including the production and posting of journals
• Comfortable managing large volumes of data
• Experience in the production and submission of company tax returns, VAT returns and company accounts.
• Willingness to support the wider accounts function in the day-to-day operations of the department
• Experience using Sage accounting and payroll packages preferred.
