We are looking for a Housing Options Officer to join our client at their offices in South Norwood. This role is based on site, with the occasional need to carry out viewings, a full UK driving licence would be desirable.
You will be responsible for marketing vacancies. Process referrals and conduct pre-placement eligibility assessments and complete the Admissions Assessment Report [AAR] and on admission complete the Placement Packs for each tenant. You will need to keep accurate records of processes, outcomes and action taken on the company's enterprise management system and Lewisham (Locata) database. You will be responsible to fill all the occupancies, and in turn ensure minimal void loss. Where voids cannot be avoided that rooms are turned around swiftly. You will need to respond to all referral enquiries in writing within 24 hours (according to policy) and ensure all the necessary supporting documentation is received while maintaining a friendly and understanding approach.
You will have experience of managing support staff, incidents and difficult situations with resilience within a high supported mental health environment, working with clients with enduring mental health, challenging behaviours, complex needs and substance misuse, deal sensitively and appropriately with clients who may be distressed or in a state of crisis. You will have an understanding of the roles of statutory agencies involved in mental health and have excellent knowledge of mental health conditions and dual diagnosis. You will also need knowledge of equality, diversity and safeguarding procedures, support planning and risk assessing client's needs as well as the Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) or Care Quality Commission (CQC).
