Gooey Digital is looking for a sharp, creative, and organised SEO Account Executive/Manager to lead impactful search-led campaigns and help our clients grow their online visibility. You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering SEO strategies that combine great content, technical insight, and smart thinking.
This is a hands-on role with real opportunity for growth, where your ideas and input will be valued. You’ll work closely with our content and strategy team to develop SEO campaigns that drive results - and you’ll have the chance to build strong relationships with a wide range of clients.
The role offers a flexible/hybrid working environment, with 2 days per week in our Canterbury, Kent office. After one year, you'll also have the opportunity to transition to a four-day working week.
We’re looking for someone who’s confident, organised, and results-focused. You don’t need to know everything - what matters most is that you’re curious, willing to learn, and have a strong understanding of SEO fundamentals.
We’d love you to be comfortable engaging with clients, joining meetings, and being part of the wider account management process. If you're at a more junior level, don’t worry - training and support will be provided.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Managing SEO-led content campaigns from planning through to execution
- Conducting keyword research and supporting technical and on-page SEO improvements
- Reviewing website performance, rankings, and analytics data
- Collaborating with content creators to ensure output aligns with SEO goals
- Building and managing client relationships with clarity and confidence
- Reporting on performance and identifying opportunities for further optimisation
Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 1–3+ years in a digital marketing or SEO-focused role, ideally within an agency
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices (on-page, content, technical)
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, or Ahrefs
- Strong writing and editing skills – you can create content that ranks and reads well
- Comfortable managing client expectations and project timelines
- Organised, proactive, and curious about new digital marketing trends
What You’ll Get From Us
- A creative, collaborative team who support each other and love what they do
- Hybrid working (2 days in our Canterbury office) with flexibility and trust
- All equipment supplied (hopefully this goes without saying)
- A role where your ideas matter and your voice is heard
- Ongoing learning, development, and space to grow your career
We’re open to hearing from candidates with different levels of experience in SEO and digital marketing - but strong communication and writing skills are essential. Great language and great thinking are at the heart of everything we do.
If you’d like to join Gooey Digital and grow your career in a supportive, friendly, and fun environment, please send your CV and a short note explaining why you’d be a great fit to nick@gooeydigital.co.uk
