Overview
A growing firm of Chartered Accountants is creating a new role due to company growth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supervising junior team members and supporting the Team Manager with reporting and workflow coordination, whilst managing your own day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.
This role offers the perfect balance of flexibility, responsibility, and progression within a supportive and well-established accountancy practice.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 37.5hrs.
Salary is up to circa £35,000 + benefits. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
Bank reconciliations and maintenance of accurate cash records
Preparation and submission of VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines
Invoice processing, including sales and purchase ledger management
Supporting the preparation of management accounts and client reporting
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
Supervising junior team members, providing guidance and reviewing their work
Supporting the Team Manager with workflow coordination and team scheduling
What we're looking for:
A successful candidate would have strong previous experience in UK practice Bookkeeping and live within 1hr commute.
