Independent Living & Dementia Support Worker

Age UK Tunbridge Wells is looking for caring, reliable, and compassionate individuals to join our Independent Living and Dementia Support Team. In this role, you will support older people to remain independent, safe, and connected in their own homes.

About the Role
As an Independent Living & Dementia Support Worker, you will provide practical and social support tailored to each individual’s needs. You will work with older people, including those living with dementia, helping them maintain independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
This is a community-based role that offers flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide light domestic support to help maintain a safe and comfortable home
• Accompany clients on shopping trips and local errands
• Support clients in attending medical appointments (GP, hospital, etc.)
• Assist with organising household correspondence and paperwork
• Build meaningful relationships through companionship and emotional support
• Deliver 1-to-1 support for clients living with dementia through engaging and stimulating activities that enhance wellbeing
Please note: This role focuses on companionship and practical support and does not include personal care or meal preparation.
