As HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive and hands-on generalist HR service across a diverse workforce. Acting as a trusted partner to managers, you will offer guidance on a broad range of employee relations matters while ensuring best practice, consistency, and compliance with employment legislation.Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing a varied employee relations caseload including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, absence and probation matters.
* Coaching and supporting managers on people management issues, policies, procedures and employment legislation.
* Monitoring absence trends and supporting managers with attendance management processes.
* Partnering with operational leaders to deliver people initiatives and support organisational change programmes.
* Supporting employee wellbeing through effective management of long and short-term sickness cases, including liaison with Occupational Health providers.
* Building positive relationships with employee representatives and key stakeholders.
* Preparing management reports, HR communications, briefings and supporting people-focused projects.
* Maintaining accurate employee records and HR system data.
* Contributing to continuous improvement across HR processes, policies and employee experience.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and approachable HR professional with strong generalist experience and a passion for supporting managers and employees.You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer or similar generalist HR position.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations processes.
* Experience advising managers within a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise competing demands effectively.
* Experience of using HR systems and producing management information.
* A collaborative and practical approach to problem solving.
* CIPD qualification or progress towards qualification would be advantageous.
