Senior Quality Inspector
Location: Headcorn
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Contract Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with strong CMM and leadership experience looking for your next opportunity? Our client is looking for a proactive Senior Quality Inspector to join a growing manufacturing business.

This is a hands-on role combining detailed inspection with greater responsibility within the Quality team. You'll be expected to make quality decisions, provide guidance to colleagues and take ownership of quality standards.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Programming, operating and interpreting results from CMM equipment and measuring systems.
- Providing technical guidance and support to other inspectors.
- Inspecting components and assemblies against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying non-conformances and supporting corrective actions.
- Working with other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Supporting ISO 9001 compliance and continuous improvement.

About You

- Relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong hands-on CMM programming and operation experience.
- Experience working in a senior or lead inspection role.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and ISO 9001.
The confidence to make decisions, challenge where necessary and provide direction to others.
A proactive, positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
