Key responsibilities of this role: * Dipper - to work closely with pasting departments on day-to-day workload and organise the order of braze for the day under the direction of the Workshop manager. * To jig up all work for the oven. * To wor in the washroom, pre and post cleaning parts. * To inspect brazed work in preparation for hardening or packing work to send out to customers. * To clean the salt bath at regular intervals and to record this action has been taken. * To take salt samples at regular intervals, as required and directed by Workshop Manager. * To check chemicals as required. * To check jigs and report any damage to the Workshop Manager and then repair as appropriate. * To undertake any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Workshop Manager. Home-based, part-time chartered structural or civil engineer required for 3 or 4 days per week in the position of Principal Structural Engineer for a small consultancy based near Ashford, that carries out inspections and reports on building defects, mainly domestic, small commercial and institutional (schools, hospitals, churches etc) which often lead to the design and specification of small-scale remedial works. Also to respond to emailed enquiries from potential clients and review associate engineers' reports. The position would suit someone who has taken early retirement from full-time employment. Must have a good knowledge of Building Regulations and be able to write reports in perfect English. Applicants must be chartered civil or structural and will be covered by our £2M PI insurance.
