We are recruiting on behalf of one of our long established client for a Workshop Operative to work in the Fabrication department of an engineering company based in Medway Towns. Your role will involve assisting the workshop section leader in all aspects of carrying out daily production tasks in a timely and efficient way, ensuring that client's needs and expectations are met. Ideally you wil have some experience of working in a metal workshop environment. Experience of operating machine tools would be advantageous however not essential as training will be provided. In addition to this you will be a team player, proactive and be well organised. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 16.30 and Friday 08.00 to 15.30. A long-established manufacturing company centrally located in Medway are seeking Welders on a temporary basis. There may be permanent opportunities available for the right candidates. Key Requirements: * Proficient in MAG, MIG, and TIG welding. However, strong expertise in at least one of these welding techniques will be considered. * Experience with stainless steel and/or carbon steel * Candidates experienced only in stainless steel are still encouraged to apply * Ability to read technical drawings (preferred but not mandatory) Applicants will be required to complete a weld coding test and submit weld test samples as part of the interview process.
