We are seeking experienced Complex Healthcare Assistants in East Malling to support a gentleman with complex care needs, including Fragile X Syndrome, learning disabilities, autism, Tourette’s syndrome and complex tracheostomy care. The role includes suctioning, enteral feeding, medication administration via PEG, tracheostomy care, moving and handling and ongoing respiratory support. He may r quire inner-cannula changes, repositioning to support his breathing, and monitoring when experiencing wheezing or stridor. Full training and ongoing clinical support will be provided, including training to safely administer buccal Midazolam for seizure management. The gentleman enjoys a relaxed and engaging routine, including watching daytime TV, DVDs and videos, listening to music and attending activities. Supporting him to enjoy his routines and interests is an important and rewarding part of the role. Shifts Available: Days, Twilight, Nights.
