We are currently recruiting for Yard Operatives for our client, an established events company in Brentwood. Hours of work will vary depending on the deliveries on the day it is generally a Monday to Friday role but with some weekend work during busy periods. Duties will include lifting, cleaning the deliveries that go in and out on a daily basis, tidying up the yard area, unloading and eloading vans. You will generally be based on site but there will be times when you will to go out with the team delivering all over the UK. There is lifting involved and you will be required to work on your own initiative at times. Due to the location of the company, your own transport would be advantageous however there is public transport and the client can arrange pick up from the nearest train station. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To manage the inbound receipt of goods and materials. This will include the unloading of vehicles using appropriate handling equipment, checking goods received against documentation, transfer to the correct stocking point and accurate processing of system transactional data. 2. To manage the outbound shipment of finished goods, components and materials. Ensur goods are labelled and packaged to the required standard and checked for accuracy against relevant documentation. This will include the loading of vehicles using appropriate handling equipment and accurate processing of system transactional data. 3. Safely move materials and components to the correct storage and stocking locations using appropriate handling equipment. Observe correct safe handling techniques and practices and ensure necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times. 4. Accurately record information and complete all necessary documentation in full. Ensure all required system transactions are performed accurately and in a timely manner. Raise any anomalies

The Warehouse Operative position is to assist in the warehouse as required. Duties will include stickering/ de-stickering and picking and packing ready for dispatch. Previous warehouse/packing experience would be advantageous although not essential. • The client will spend time training each individual into each position and therefore reliability is very important. • 2 x 30 minute breaks 1 is paid- total hours pay per day is 7.5 hrs.= 37.5 hour week • Undertake any other duties as requested by supervisor / Manager. • Must be reliable, a good team player. Flexible and the ability to work on own initiative. • Must have a good understanding of the English language to ensure all Health & Safety instructions are understood. Some heavy lifting involved. Safety footwear and HI- VIS vest must be worn whilst on site. No mobile phones in the work area
