Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their business based in Strood, Kent Shift pattern - Alternate weeks of days and lates, 06:00am to 14:30pm and 13:30pm to 22:00pm - Night Shift, 21:45pm to 06:15am (Monday to Friday) - Occasional over time on Saturday mornings (not every Saturday) which will be paid at time and a half The role entails (but is not limited to): - Testing vehicles and diagnosing any faults or issues - Carrying out services and repairs to vehicles and components, using recognised tools and equipment - Ensuring that reports are provided either orally and/or in writing which explain the condition, safety, reliability and performance of vehicles - Carrying out vehicle safety checks - Ensuring compliance with ISO and Quality Standards - Undertaking any necessary training in order to ensure that all knowledge is up to date and meets DAF standards - Ordering parts from the parts department - Tag vehicles during cannibalisation and after completion, ensure tag is given to the sales departm
