We are looking for an experienced handyperson to support our team and facility in Whitstable. The successful candidate will report to the RDDS Management Team and will be responsible for general maintenance and support tasks including, but not limited to: • General cleaning and tidying of entire facility and surrounding area. • General maintenance and repair activities to support day to da operation of the RDDS facility. • Delivery and collection of equipment from locations within the UK. • Portable appliance inspection and testing (training provided). • Any related tasks as instructed by the RDDS Management Team. The successful candidate will meet the following requirements: • Experience and skills associated with general maintenance tasks. • Must hold a current full and clean driving licence. Job Title: Handler / Loader Reporting to: Handling Shift Leader / Yard Manager Permanent: Salary £25K - £30K per annum Transport Essential Key Responsibilities: Work as part of the team to ensure it meets daily loading requirements and other agreed objectives. Picking accuracy, housekeeping, and stock accuracy. Contribute to continuous improvement of the team to reduce error and waste to reduce cost. Operational reporting is to the Shift Team Leader, and Yard Manager. Team Targets: Load all the required lorries each day. Where possible prepare loads for following days. Empty dripping area daily. Zero product damage on lorries and in finished product areas 100% completion of daily load lists with 100% accuracy Key Tasks: The team shares the responsibility to ensure all tasks are completed daily before the team goes home.
