We are recruiting for an additional part time Youth Team Support Worker to work alongside young people 10 – 18 years of age on a project based in the Folkestone area. Individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to apply, as your life skills are considered more important than any qualifications, for such a position, but we are looking for someone special, who will really understand the essence of the role and commit, for the long term. No formal qualifications are required, as full training on all subjects will be provided, but as a Youth Team Support Worker, it’s about supporting the social, emotional and physical development of young people. Together with a qualified YTSW you will help to deliver preventative education, and this could include subjects such as: education covering drugs, substance/alcohol abuse, vape smoking, positive relationships, hate crime, mental health support, coping with often complex family issues etc., all delivered in an informal way.
