Mascalls Academy has a fantastic opportunity for a committed and motivated Facilities Assistant to join our team as soon as possible. This position will assist with the care of the academy premises, ranging from general maintenance duties including minor repair and refurbishment works, porterage and other duties, supporting the Facilities Manager in ensuring the health and safety and security of a busy academy. Applicants will need a flexible approach to working hours and duties and may occasionally be required to cover the duties of other team members in their absence Applicants need to be trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, physically fit, conscientious and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ideally you will have good DIY skills, some knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills and an understanding of safeguarding. Mascalls Academy are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team, starting as soon as possible. As a member of the Learning Support Department, you are responsible for supporting children with Spe ial Educational Needs in a classroom environment and working with staff and pupils to promote whole school incentives. Working under the direct instruction of the SENCO, your role would be to support access learning for pupils and provide general support to teachers in the management of students. Teaching Assistants need to be able to respond positively to change in order to meet the needs of students and help them overcome particular barriers to learning.
