This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly Catering and Conferencing departments working within our back of house teams to deliver a smooth and efficient booking process for all events.

To be successful in this role you will enjoy engaging with clients, working on events and be able to deliver the office-based requirements to support this. As a Catering, Conference and Hospitality you will play a key role liaising between the Catering and Conference teams on bookings, menus and new system initiatives. You will have excellent organisational skills and a strong customer focus. Experience in running events and working within a catering environment as well as with the systems that support these areas, would be ideal. This will be an office based position primarily with some opportunities to work on events.

A degree, HND or BTEC qualified (or equivalent standard) would be welcome but not essential. We would instead expect a demonstrable experience and skill level in hospitality, events and an office-based environment. You must be able to demonstrate good customer care skills, knowledge of Microsoft office, ability to manage workload and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A background in learning and using computer systems is an essential requirement.

Desirable requirements would be experience of working in HE and experience of dealing with accommodation bookings.
