Summary
We are seeking an HSEQ Advisor to join our team at Laser Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. In this role, you will be instrumental in promoting health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across our projects. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with regulations and enhance our commitment to safety and excellence.
The current position is split between office-based work with regular site visits across Kent and London
Responsibilities
• Maintain and develop HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Provide day to day support and guidance to site teams and management.
• Prepare detailed reports on HSEQ performance and incidents, providing actionable insights for management.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on health, safety, environmental practices, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Investigate incidents thoroughly using root cause analysis techniques to prevent recurrence.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across health, safety, environmental and quality.
Requirements
• Proven experience in a health, safety, environmental, or quality advisory role within the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practices is essential.
• Experience in conducting audits and inspections effectively.
• First aid certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• IOSH or NEBOSH accreditation.
• Experience in the construction sector or M&E contracting.
• Full driving licence.
• IT literate.
