Lead the events that inspire decisions and shape futures.
Are you an experienced event professional who thrives on energy, precision, and purpose? Do you want your work to have real impact - not just on people’s experiences, but on their futures?
At Canterbury Christ Church University, we’re looking for a Recruitment and Conversion Events Lead to take the helm in designing and delivering a portfolio of high-impact student recruitment and conversion events. From large-scale Open Days and personalised Offer Holder events to immersive virtual experiences and targeted Clearing campaigns, you’ll shape the first impressions that matter most.
This is a pivotal role within our Marketing, Communications and Recruitment department, leading on the planning, coordination, and delivery of events that engage, inform, and inspire prospective students and their key influencers. You'll work collaboratively across faculties and teams, liaise with academic and professional services staff, and oversee student ambassadors - ensuring every event runs smoothly, professionally, and on-brand. You’ll also contribute to refining processes and event strategy, making sure we stay responsive, inclusive, and aligned with our Access and Participation Plan and student recruitment priorities. Your input will shape not just event delivery, but the experience and first impressions that guide student decisions. With creativity, organisation, and leadership you will help drive event innovation and enhance our ability to attract and convert students.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading or supporting the successful delivery of large-scale events from concept through to completion
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience - ideally supported by a professional qualification in Events, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of student recruitment and the importance of delivering exceptional service to prospective students, their families, and other key stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines, logistics, and stakeholder relationships
- The ability to work to multiple, tight deadlines and flexibility to work out of hours as required.
This is more than a job - it’s a chance to shape futures and be part of a team that believes higher education should be within reach for everyone.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected (Professional Services). Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year, but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.

Interviews are to be held: TBC 9th or 10th of September
