The cold store runs at -20 degrees centigrade but don’t worry, protective clothing designed to deal with this temperature will be provided by the client. Some experience working in cold temperatures would be preferred but will accept people who have fantastic warehouse/pic ing experience. You will be reporting to the Driver Supervisor and Senior Freezer Operative, you are responsible for helping to pack customers frozen orders ready for dispatch. This job involves working in a busy warehouse maintaining and operating machines that produce air solutions in the field of indoor environment, offering solutions for ventilation, heating, cooling and climate optimisation. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To manage the inbound receipt of goods and materials. This will include the unloading of vehicles using appropriate handling equipment, checking goods received against documentation, transfer to the correct stocking point and accurate processing of system transactional data. 2. To manage the outbound shipment of finished goods, components and materials. Ensur goods are labelled and packaged to the required standard and checked for accuracy against relevant documentation. This will include the loading of vehicles using appropriate handling equipment and accurate processing of system transactional data. 3. Safely move materials and components to the correct storage and stocking locations using appropriate handling equipment. The Warehouse Operative position is to assist in the warehouse as required. Duties will include stickering/ de-stickering and picking and packing ready for dispatch. Previous warehouse/packing experience would be advantageous although not essential. • The client will spend time training each individual into each position and therefore reliability is very important. • 2 x 30 minute breaks 1 is paid- total hours pay per day is 7.5 hrs.= 37.5 hour week • Undertake any other duties as requested by supervisor / Manager. • Must be reliable, a good team player. Flexible and the ability to work on own initiative. • Must have a good understanding of the English language to ensure all Health & Safety instructions are understood. Some heavy lifting involved. Safety footwear and HI- VIS vest must be worn whilst on site. No mobile phones in the work area
